Theatre on the RIdge was founded in 1975 as an offshoot of a children's program administered by the Paradise Recreation and Parks District. Originally producing one or two productions a year in the local gymnasium, the theatre expanded to its own location in September 1979. Renovations of an old commercial building were accomplished with all volunteer labor and donations of material and services from the local business community.
