LA Forward Institute (LAFI) is dedicated to transforming Los Angeles County into a place that is fair and flourishing for everyone. Through civic education, community organizing, coalition building, and communications, LAFI works to change the systems that perpetuate racial and economic injustice. LAFI seeks to make local government and social issues accessible to a wider public, going beyond education to awaken people to their own power to act in solidarity with the communities most impacted by racial and economic injustice. LAFI seeks affordable housing for all neighborhoods; environmental and climate justice; a transformed justice system that prioritizes care; a fair economy and a robust, people-powered democracy.
