About
Each year, FLY serves more than 2,000 youth ages 11 to 24 who are at greater risk of violence and incarceration due to poverty, racism, immigration discrimination, and other forms of marginalization. Our core programs – the Law, Leadership Training, and Mentor Programs – are based on ideas from youth who were facing years or life in prison. These ideas remain the foundation of FLY and have been strengthened with best practices in youth development and crime prevention. As a learning organization, we continue to be guided by the voices of our youth as they are the experts regarding their own experiences. We currently operate programs in three Bay Area counties, serving youth in locked facilities, in schools, and in the community.
