About

CVIIC was created in Fresno in 2014 to focus on 4 major strategic priorities related to immigration in the Central Valley: improve the organizational capacity to serve the 900,000 immigrants in the region; ensure the delivery of services to urban and rural communities; carry out educational and informational activities to benefit immigrant families; advocate for pro-immigrant measures at local, state, national levels. CVIIC has followed a model of regional coordination and collaboration in the area of immigration that involves developing relationships with scores of nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, nonprofit legal services providers, educational and vocational institutions, public sector agencies, health advocates, pro bono attorneys and others. Most recently, we have also launched an immigrant entrepreneurship program.
